CEI 2018 Gala

The Center for Educational Innovation (CEI) is delighted to honor Richard Carrión, Caroline McConnie, and Dr. Kathleen Cashin at our 2018 Benefit Dinner on Thursday, November 29, 2018, at The Plaza Hotel for their commitment to ensuring all children have access to a quality education.

Leaders in educational innovation, CEI works one-on-one with students, teachers and principals, every day, to ensure that all children have the tools they need to succeed. Funds raised at the benefit support CEI’s Project BOOST program.

Project BOOST (Building Options and Opportunities for Students) provides students from low-income communities in grades 4-8 with a “boost” by exposing them to experiences and resources usually restricted to their more affluent peers. From attending Broadway shows to engaging in rigorous tutoring to leading community service initiatives, Project BOOST students gain the experiences necessary to become college and career ready. Last year, over 85% of graduating BOOST students gained admission to one of their top three choices for high school, which in New York City is a highly competitive process!

We do hope you can join us on November 29th to celebrate the work of CEI and the accomplishments of our honorees!
